Cultivate Contentment: Use Ancient Wisdom Thrive in Today’s World
In a lively, interactive discussion, Johanna Maheshvari Mosca, PhD, will review Patanjali’s eight limbs of Yoga and ten core yoga principles for well-being, plus key yoga sutras for living a life free of suffering. Based upon her book, Cultivate Contentment, Johanna will teach the 4 D’s for Transforming Upsets (Distinguish, Detach, Dip and Design) and lead an in-depth clearing meditation. This meditation guides participants to let go of thoughts, emotions and body sensations, fill up with trust and gratitude, and focus on loving the present moment and setting intentions for lasting contentment.
The workshop will begin with a welcome centering, then a discussion of the eight limbs, ten yoga principles and various practical yoga sutras to enhance daily living. Midway, Johanna will work with participants’ examples of upsets to demonstrate how to clear them using her 4 D’s for transformation. The session will end with a deeply satisfying clearing meditation that participants can use to clear themselves any time..
