In a lively, interactive discussion, Johanna Maheshvari Mosca, PhD, will review Patanjali’s eight limbs of Yoga and ten core yoga principles for well-being, plus key yoga sutras for living a life free of suffering. Based upon her book, Cultivate Contentment, Johanna will teach the 4 D’s for Transforming Upsets (Distinguish, Detach, Dip and Design) and lead an in-depth clearing meditation. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Partner Yoga

Join Maheshvari (Johanna Mosca, PhD) to experience giving and receiving assisted yoga therapy stretches with a partner you either bring to or meet at the session. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy helps you release emotional and physical tension and promotes deep relaxation through assisted Yoga poses, dialogue and breathing, in a safe, loving space. Following an initial centering and overview, Maheshvari will guide you to help your partner limber up with leg and arm warm-ups and soothing neck massage. Then she will instruct you to hold your partner in gentle yoga poses to help him/her release any muscle tightness in the lower back and body.  After a deep relaxation and a short break, partners will switch roles. Guided by Maheshvari, the givers will become receivers of these wonderful, proven yoga techniques to release tension and energize your body. From this interactive seminar, you can take home simple yoga therapy techniques to help relax the people at home. No yoga therapy expertise is required.
