What is the weather like in Sedona in October?
Sedona in October features warm, sunny days and cool, crisp nights, making it peak season for hiking and outdoor activities.
Daily high temperatures average in the upper 70s (°F) and drop to average lows in the upper 40s to low 50s (°F) at night. Rain is minimal, but you should expect heavy crowds and peak pricing.
Daytime Temperatures: Highs generally range from the mid-70s to low 80s, which is perfect for exploring the red rocks.
Nighttime Temperatures: Lows typically fall between 45°F and 50°F, creating a significant temperature drop that requires layers for evening outings.
Precipitation: October is mostly dry, averaging less than 1 to 1.5 inches of rain for the entire month.
Foliage: You may catch beautiful fall color changes, particularly along the Oak Creek which Outbound Sedona Resort is located along.
Sunscreen and a hat are essential for outdoor sessions on the land. Bring a reusable water bottle.
Do I need a car?
Outbound Sedona is located just off Red Rock Scenic Byway (State Route 179) 10 mins south of the main area of Sedona and is not considered comfortably pedestrian-friendly — if you’re staying near the resort, you will want to make a solid plan how you will get to the festival site either by car, walk, bike or take the local shuttle service.
Once at Outbound Sedona, you don’t need a car to get between most classes and events. A dedicated SYF chartered shuttle takes attendees to and from on-the-land sessions.
Carpooling is encouraged getting to the festival venue, thank you!
