Why Learn About Relationships From Us

Why Learn About Relationships From Us

We’re not psychologists. We’re not relationship counselors. We’re not sex therapists.

We’re basically regular people who have learned quite a lot over the years on how to be happy in relationship, how to get through the darkness in relationship, how to better communicate & listen and how to connect easier with people in general. We simply want to share with others what we’ve learned, what works for us and have FUN doing it! We are passionate about relationship and we feel particularly enthused about the accelerated personal growth that can come from being in an intimate relationhip. You can’t hide in relationship, there’s always the most powerful mirror right there in your face! The things I’ve learned (and continue to learn) about myself through being in relationhip are kinda mind-blowing.

David and I have both been married before.  We didn’t know how to communicate with our spouses very well at all. There was a lot of fear around communication and opening up completely but also we didn’t have the tools to even know how to begin. Divorcing pushed us in the direction of learning more about conscious relationship, authenic communication and radical honesty. We have similar stories. As they say in Thailand, “same same, but different”.

There are certainly ongoing challenges that we deal with, but we realize it’s a daily choice to be together, to not let pain or ego consume us. We choose to celebrate and focus on Love.

In our Mystical Relationship workshop/playshop, we will be sharing a sacred space commuincation ritual, where you sit face-to-face with your partner and David will guide you through the appx 20 min process. This is a beautiful ritual that is a foundation in our relationship. It’s not just for intimate couples, it works beautifully with best friends, family and even total strangers!

Also, a generous portion of this class will be learning Thai massage techniques. What a wonderfal way to give and receive with your partner or friend. We’ll also be trail-mixing in a few other practices such as laughter yoga, self-Love meditation and group affirmation circle.

So if you’re looking for something new to do that will help you in your relationhips and help make connecting with others easier, then we hope to see you soon!  We keep the atmosphere light, casual and fun!

Come dressed in comfy, stretchy yoga type clothes and with an open heart and mind.

It has been a true joy and honor to have been able to share this workshop at Sedona Yoga Festival, as well as with our beloved local Dallas community.

Please find our Mystical Relationship schedule on the classes/events page. Thank you and many blessings to you!

“Like a seed planted with the intention of blossoming into a beautiful perennial, a mantra can be thought of as a seed for energizing an intention. Much in the same way you plant a flower seed, you plant mantras in the fertile soil of practice. You nurture them and over time they bear the fruit of your intention.” – The Chopra Center

Films sponsored by: Sedona Yoga Festival

Did you know? Mantra is The Sacred Language of Sanskrit

In our westernized, modern-day spiritual practices the word “mantra” has become as mainstream as “intention.” But the two are actually quite different. The word mantra can be broken down into two parts: “man,” which means mind, and “tra,” which means transport or vehicle. In other words, a mantra is an instrument of the mind—a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation.

This full-length feature documentary about the practice of Kirtan chanting shares the stories of two American women who discover Bhakti Yoga and who experience healing and a sense of inner peace by singing mantras with others. Through chanting, they experience feelings of unconditional love and connection. The film accompanies the women as they delve further into the healing qualities of this practice, finding that chanting is not only a pleasure, it is also deeply therapeutic. The film features performers such as Deva Premal & Miten, Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, Snatam Kaur and MC Yogi. We see how they came to embrace the practice of Kirtan and how it transformed their lives. This film is about spirituality, not religion. It’s about people reconnecting with their true selves and finding meaning in their lives.

Collective Insight; Sedona Yoga Festival

Collective Insight; Sedona Yoga Festival

My experience in Sedona was mountain top material, making even the mundane more meaningful with afterglow. I’ve been basking in it. Today I got up at 5:00am and walked two miles in a windstorm with one word on my mind: Elevate. Amidst the hefty collection of collective insight, this was by far my greatest take away. It was my personal epiphany.

I will elevate by overcoming the obstacles that restrict the fullest expression of personal potential. I’ve been afraid to shine for quite some time, deceived and trapped by the ego mind, crippled by concern and foolish considerations. Sedona blew the doors of my heart off the hinges, unleashing a flood of passion, purpose, and appreciation for life… I left feeling fully STOKED, intending to ELEVATE myself and others, my soul lifted and lit up by the light of infinity, gripped in the expression of infinite connection. Changed. Charged. Champion style.

Tapping into that reflection makes my heart soar right here, right now. Big smile on the inside. No doubt SYF 2017 facilitated the kind of experience that resonates for a lifetime. I want to express my gratitude to you and the crew for making it all possible, and THANK YOU seems short of sufficient, so here’s a poetic expression of my appreciation:

Synchronistic energies,

Dancing lights in symphony,

Entrancing depth infinity,

Connecting each of us to we;

Passing smiles, friendly face,

Every point in time and space,

Chance and choice we must embrace,

To make the world a better place;

Let’s elevate the light of soul,

Shine our love and rock and roll,

Help awareness know it’s role,

Enriching lives and living full;

Once again big thanks I send,

May peace abound around the bend,

With love and joy till journey’s end,

Happy trails to you my friend!

~Peace. Luke

Yoga Magic in Sedona

Yoga Magic in Sedona

One must attest, their is a magic in Sedona that is unlike other places. It isn’t found in a shop, or in the many touristy attractions. Its something else – something you can feel that IS tangible in the air … a taste, a presence that is not only in the beautiful weather, jaw dropping vistas, pink sunsets (with more golden light than your eyes can take)… or in the incredible rock formations that look like sleeping red giants, that draws people back for years to come.

In my life – I have come to practice (on a consistent basis,) yoga. I found my flow with perfect ease, only when I first practiced, on the land.  It was during the the Sedona Yoga Festival, a few years ago, when I drove up from Phoenix to attend a few classes and hiked by myself out to one of the beautiful vistas. I felt inspired to flow- so I did. What an experience, to lay in Savasana after a rigorous movement, and open my eyes to the beautiful Bell Rock. I was transformed. My spirit, my practice, my heart.

I have come back every year, to hike, to flow and to practice my yoga. Until I eventually – just moved here.Aumbase Sedona 2

Today, I have come to find Aumbase Sedona as my home studio and my happy place to both practice in the studio or out on the land with my teacher. Aumbase has the most incredible guides that help you bring that magical practice to the land. Perfect for small groups to find the energy of yoga, that when practiced on the land, is amplified, focused, and ready to support and reinforce your highest intentions.  Their studio too is an extension of this, a big, bright, beautiful, clean and comfortable space in West Sedona with an incredible view of Thunder Mountain.

Aumbase Sedona 3Aumbase Sedona is also the perfect and affordable location also to host your event, bring your team, offer your workshop, teach your class, practice yoga, or have an epic hiking adventure. Aumbase add-ons include amenities such as lodging at the Aumbase Ashram for your friends or out of town visitors, and they host a variety of yoga events including the Sedona Yoga Festival.
